David Tucker, PhD

Austin Neuropsychology

David Tucker completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas and then completed his Masters and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology with a specialty focus in neuropsychology at the University of Georgia. He has 25 years of clinical experience and is board certified in clinical neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology/American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology. He is also a fellow in the National Academy of Neuropsychology.. He works with adults and has particular experience and interest in working with individuals with epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, dementia and ADHD.

In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Tucker is also an adjunct associate professor at the University of Texas in the Department of Psychology. He teaches graduate level classes in neuropsychology and supervises doctoral students in clinical and research activities. His research has been supported by the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation and the Hogg Foundation. In his spare time, Dr. Tucker enjoys biking, hiking the hill country and Austin’s wonderful live music offerings.

Melissa Bunner, PhD

Austin Neuropsychology

Dr. Bunner is a clinical psychologist with over 10 years clinical experience in neuropsychology. She is board certified in clinical neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. Her approach to neuropsychological assessment seeks to better understand an individual’s cognitive strengths and weaknesses in order to make appropriate recommendations for children and their families. She specializes in working with children who have, or are suspected of having, a variety of concerns such as: ADHD, Dyslexia, Nonverbal Learning Disability, Dysgraphia, genetic disorders, Autism spectrum disorders, Traumatic Brain Injury, and other neurological disorders. She often works with physicians, schools, and other providers in treatment planning. She also works with adults suspected of these types of disorders.

Besides her clinical practice at Austin Neuropsychology, PLLC, she has spoken often in the Austin area about neuropsychological assessment, ADHD, and learning disorders. She is active in a number of professional and charitable organizations. She is a clinical supervisor of doctoral and post-doctoral level graduate students in neuropsychology and participates in clinical research.

Stephanie Paulos, PhD, Neuropsychologist

Austin Neuropsychology

Dr. Paulos obtained her doctorate in School Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. She completed her pre-doctoral internship and formal two-year neuropsychology fellowship at Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She is board eligible and in the process of becoming board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology. She has worked in inpatient and outpatient settings for over seven years.

Dr. Paulos provides comprehensive neuropsychological assessments, as well as intervention services including, cognitive rehabilitation after neurological injury, family therapy for families facing challenges from neurological disabilities, cognitive coaching for individuals with developmental disabilities, Cogmed working memory training, and school advocacy to assist the educational team in understanding a child’s cognitive strengths and weaknesses. Her clinical specialties include acquired brain injury, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, and developmental disabilities such as: ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and autism spectrum disorders. Besides her clinical practice at Austin Neuropsychology, PLLC, Dr. Paulos is an active member in a number of professional organizations. She is also a clinical supervisor of undergraduate and graduate students in psychology.

Connie Walker

Austin Neuropsychology

Mrs. Walker completed her undergraduate education at the University of New Mexico earning a B.A. in Psychology. She then went on to receive a Masters in Education with a specialty in School Psychology from Texas State University in San Marcos. She has been part of the Austin Neuropsychology group for 10 years.
